Fake Summer

As the poler vortex continues to rain mayhem, and as our Vitamin D levels are rapidly depleting, it's not surprising that "The Great Migration" of the Mid-Westerner to the West Coast has finally begun.  So, befitting of seeing two buds, Ben & Kayley, off to Newport, CA, there was a going away party thrown and a giant vinyl wallhanging of palm trees hung. It almost convinced me I was in the middle of a summer paradise until I walked out to newly fallen, calf deep snow.
